The Marketing Executive in the hotel industry is responsible for maximizing a hotel’s revenues by developing programs to increase occupancy and make profitable use of its accommodation, meeting and leisure facilities. .
Key Responsibilities:
Maximize profits through the development of sales strategies that match customer requirements.
Liaise and build relationships.
Budget manage and indentify advertising opportunities
To manage the production and distribution of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters and flyers. To set up promotional campaigns and work with the support and revenue teams to ensure that hotels participate in the relevant campaigns.
To maintain, build and update mailing databases
To organise and attend events and exhibitions
To carry out market research and customer surveys to assess demand, brand positioning and awareness; Analyzing and investigating price, demand and competition
To monitor competitor activity
To support the marketing manager, and other colleagues.
Ideal Background & Experience:
• The Ideal Marketing Executive Candidate should have 3 years previous hotel experience within a similar role or be a Sales Coordinator who has had exposure in the hospitality field as well as sales.
• Must have good IT and web based skills and are able to demonstrate excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
• Must be able to work set targets and goals and be able to demonstrate a proactive approach to achieving goals.
• Knowledge of working with a Corporate and conference Hotel Group would be advantageous and hotel experience is essential.
