1. JOB SUMMARY - PURPOSE
To assist the Project Manager in the delivery of projects by supervising and coordinating the on site
activities on site.
2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Liaise with the Project Manager regarding client requirements
b. Report any incidents, accidents, hazards or near misses in the work place immediately as per company procedures
c. Attend client progress meetings (where requested)
d. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of build sites, including leading and managing crew leaders, volunteers and future/current homeowners on specific construction tasks.
e. Deliver consistent and high quality work utilizing industry standard methodologies and materials.
f. Coordinate with Project Manager on all sub-contractor scheduling and material ordering.
g. Monitor and supervise sub-contractors on the site.
h. Ensure build site has tools and materials needed for day’s task
i. Responsible for taking deliveries of materials and supplies; ensures all tools and materials are maintained and safeguarded.
j. Review and offer suggestions to the project manager's schedule and implement with little or minimal direction.
k. Adhere to safety policy and practices, and create a positive and encouraging work atmosphere.
3. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
(The knowledge, skills and abilities may be acquired through a combination of formal schooling, self-education, prior experience, or on-the-job training)
(a) Level of Education/Academic Qualification
• Bachelor’s of Science in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Engineering
(b) Specialized Training/Professional Qualifications
Diploma in Construction Engineering/construction management
(c) Competencies/Abilities/Skills Required
• Must be proficient in the use of computer to prepare reports using Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.
• Excellent working knowledge of construction scheduling and outage planning.
• Must be able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Must be able to easily move around active construction site safely and effectively.
• Must have highly-effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent team leader/player with exceptional interpersonal skills to deliver
results
• Must have proven problem-solving skills.
• Supervisory skills
(d) Relevant Work Experience
• At least three (3) years relevant experience in a reputable interior fit-out organization
