Procurement Manager - Africa Management Solutions Limited - Nairobi

•Preparing Local Purchase Orders in a timely and accurate manner.
•Responding to supplier inquiries.
•Reviewing requisition orders to verify accuracy, Specifications and terminology.
•Comparing prices, specifications and delivery dates to determine the best bid among potential suppliers.
•Keeping records of undelivered items and follow-up till delivery.
•Ensuring availability of materials at site by being in constant communication with site managers on the materials requirement.
•Liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of items to site.
•Researching for new suppliers.
•Following up with suppliers concerning delivery times.
•Preparing daily procurement reports.
•Prepare, maintain and review purchasing files.
•Keeping current records of price lists.
•Report price lists, track the status of requisitions, contracts and orders, locate suppliers, approve bills for payment, monitor contractor performance, calculate the cost of orders, charge or forward invoices to the appropriate accounts, and monitor in-house inventory transfer forms for bookkeeping records.
•Job Specification.
•Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Purchasing.
•Diploma in purchasing and supplies.
•At least CPA qualification section 3.
•CPA (K) is added advantage.
•Capacity to network and negotiate with suppliers.
