Key Responsibilities
The General Manager’s responsibilities shall include but shall not be limited to:
• Providing technical leadership and direction at the plant and serving as a technical back-stop to the managers and staff
• Directing the company’s capex investment program and investment priorities
• Providing key contribution in developing new product offerings and enhancing existing ones
• Maintaining and building agency relationships with leading Global manufacturers to expand the company’s product offerings
• Building out the Company’s commercial capabilities in line with Group Commercial strategy
• Managing relationships with key distributors; customers; end users; suppliers; service providers and financiers
Academic Qualifications
• University graduate in relevant technical discipline - experience or qualification in electrical engineering
• A graduates degree in other relevant technical Engineering discipline would be an added advantage
Experience
• Ten years relevant working experience at least five of which should be at senior level in a similar electrical manufacturing environment
• Experience or qualification in electrical engineering
• Knowledge of the South African market
